WEDNESDAY'S deluge saw water surge along Cardenden Road, in Cardenden, posing problems for residents in the street.
Many homes were flooded, however, it has also seen various items carried along the stretch by the rushing water and a bit of fencing has been located in the bridge on the road.
Local councillor Linda Erskine posted on her Facebook page yesterday: "I have had the Transportation guys out today to do a bridge inspection at Cardenden Road.
"They have found a piece of heras fencing firmly lodged in the bridge. They couldn't remove it today, but Transportation have promised to do monitoring inspections tonight and tomorrow.
"Hopefully, if the water level has dropped it will be removed on Monday, or Tuesday at the latest."
