WEST FIFE parents have been urged to know where their children are after police were called to deal with youth disorder in Aberdour.

Officers attended at Silver Sands beach on Friday afternoon.

A post on South West Fife Police's Twitter feed said they had received calls about anti-social behaviour and youths drinking.

Sergeant Scott Maxwell, from Dalgety Bay Police Station, explained: “We were called to the Silver Sands area of Aberdour at around 4.15pm on Friday, 7 August, following reports of disorder involving a large number of youths. Officers attended and engaged with the group, who dispersed and left the area.

“As social distancing guidance and lockdown restrictions slowly relax across the country, I’d like to appeal to parents in Fife to make sure you know where your children are, to help keep them from getting into situations they might later regret.”
