CRAIG Burnett has been appointed the new Plant Manager at the Fife NGL Plant at Mossmorran, operated by Shell U.K. Limited.
He takes over from Teresa Waddington who is moving to a new role with Shell, in Canada, after three years in role.
Craig has for the last two years been Production Co-ordinator at the plant, supporting and deputising for the outgoing manager, making for a smooth handover.
He joined Shell following a merger with BG Group in 2016.
Originally from Banchory, west of Aberdeen, Craig is a Chemical Engineering graduate from Heriot-Watt University and previously worked with Talisman Energy and BG Group in the North Sea.
While with BG Group he spent time in Australia working on the now Shell-operated Queensland LNG Project, including supporting community engagement.
On his appointment Craig said: “Since first coming to work at Shell’s plant, at Mossmorran, two years ago, it’s been clear what a strong contribution it makes to the economies of the local area and Scotland more widely.
"But equally important is the need for it to be a good neighbour to people living nearby.
"That matters hugely to them – and to me. It will remain a priority as I take over the running of the plant.”
