THE young girl who died as a result of a road accident in Townhill on Monday was from Cardenden.
Police Scotland this afternoon confirmed she was three-year-old Robyn Knox.
The incident happened around 10.10am on Monday, on Main Street, Townhill.
Robyn was rushed to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, where she later died from her injuries.
Sergeant Stephen Quinn, of Road Policing East, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of Robyn at this extremely difficult time.
“I wish to send my thanks to the emergency service crews and members of the public who assisted at the scene.
“I would also like to reiterate my request that the privacy of the family is respected during this time.”
