A CONVICTED Lochgelly drug-dealer has failed in his bid to have his sentence changed.
Dean Farrell had wanted his restriction of liberty order lifted so that he could take up an offer of work in Aberdeen.
Farrell, 36, of High Street, was sentenced at Dunfermline Sheriff Court in February.
He was given a 10-month restriction of liberty ‘tag’ and a community payback order with 300 hours of unpaid work.
He had previously admitted that on July 26, 2017, at his home, he was concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, cannabis resin.
Sheriff Charles Macnair said the sentence could not be altered as Farrell had already received the maximum amount of unpaid work.
The only other sentence available would be to send him to jail, the sheriff pointed out. The application was rejected.
