COWDENBEATH'S Community Police team has reported capturing two people who have been setting out to dupe local people.

The police team warned the public to beware of these sort of people after incidents in the Droverhall Avenue area of Crossgates last week.

However, the team reported on Friday afternoon: "Two rogue traders are tonight in custody thanks to vigilant community awareness and proactive local policing."

These people will be the subject of a report to the procurator-fiscal.

Rogue traders can be very persuasive individuals who are unlikely to have the skills or equipment to carry out the job they say they will do and their only aim is to get the public to pay for something that will not be done properly.
