THE congregation of Glencraig Gospel Hall (next to Lochore meadows) are trying to be innovative during the crisis of Coronavirus. Starting this Sunday evening at 6.30pm, Aug 2, in Lochore Meadows Country Park they are organising a DRIVE IN SERVICE. These services will run on Sunday nights throughout August and September. The idea is that people can come in cars and listen to the service. Each car will be directed to a space by a steward and will be separated by at least 2 metres from the next car. The service will be broadcast via loudspeakers meaning no one needs to leave their cars or even roll down the window. Craig Munro said, 'We are aware of many who want to attend a Christian service but cannot due to the restrictions of Covid-19. Our church services are capped at 50 and so we are going to try the 'Drive IN' idea. We are delighted that we can have these services in our 'own park' for the very first time. Many have told us they are feeling the mental tension of being isolated for so long and we hope this approach will encourage people to come out of their homes and listen to the Gospel message from the Bible in a safe way. However, the service will be also live-streamed on Periscope for anyone who has no transportation. People can be entirely anonymous - drive in and drive away- as there is no requirement for 'track and trace' unless you are in a public building. We also know that people have questions of a spiritual nature and we hope that these services prove helpful. Certainly the Bible does provide answers to the deepest questions of life. So please come down to Lochore Meadows this Sunday at 6.30pm'. Craig Munro.
