THE Cowdenbeath Community Police team is responding to community concerns in Crossgates after people have expressed concerns about the level of speeding in Mossgreen.

The team's Pop-up Jim speed deterrent has been brought in to try and persuade motorists heading between the village and Cowdenbeath to stick to 30.

Over the past few weeks excessive speeds have been noted by villagers and they asked the police to look at the issue.

Said the team on their Twitter site on Monday: "Pop-up Jim is spending the day at Mossgreen, Crossgates, reminding motorists to observe the 30mph speed limit.

"This road will be receiving extra attention following on from recent community concerns".
