MOTORISTS using the A92 are being advised of overnight works that will take place next week.

The westbound carriageway, at the Crossgates junction, will close from 8pm-6am on the nights of Tuesday July 21, and Wednesday July 22, for resurfacing.

Traffic travelling westbound will be diverted to junction three of the M90, at Halbeath, via the Crossgates roundabout.

In line with Scottish Government guidance, and to ensure the safety of workers during the maintenance project, physical distancing measures will be in place, thorough risk assessments will be carried out, and cleansing stations will be implemented on-site.

Transport Scotland, and operating company Amey, have identified a number of maintenance works that are essential to maintain the integrity and safety of routes on its trunk road network.

The scheme is weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable.
