A BALLINGRY man has been fined for causing a domestic disturbance during lockdown by shouting and kicking at a door.

The trouble was caused by Stewart Smith, 34, of Martin Crescent.

Smith appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court having previously admitted his guilt at Falkirk Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on April 29, at Paul Street, Lochgelly, he shouted, swore, made offensive remarks and kicked a door repeatedly.

Sheriff Alastair Brown had called for reports because he was “troubled” by Smith’s behaviour.

He told Smith that he had “downplayed what happened” to the social worker. He added: “That’s common but doesn’t do you much credit.”

Sheriff Brown fined Smith £200.
