WHILE the weather took a turn for the worst on Monday morning there was a fine turn out at Central Park in the forenoon to say goodbye to Cowdenbeath FC stalwart, Liam Jackson, who fans also know as Bluebell the Coo, the Blue Brazil mascot.
Liam was well known at Central Park as a fan, and hard worker behind the scenes, and also as Bluebell on match days, where his antics entertained the mascots, fans and directors.
Liam's funeral service took place at Beath Cemetery on Monday at 11am but he arrived at his beloved Central Park just after 10.30am where several hundred friends, supporters and directors turned out to say goodbye to someone who died much too young at 52.
They all gave him a massive round of applause as the hearse circled the pitch on the stock car track and of course Bluebell led the cortege, of which Liam would have warmly approved.
Jim Payne's photographs capture the scene yesterday.
