POLICE have been concerned about people using off road bikes and quads in the Kelty area.

On Wednesday there were reports of off road bikes in and around Blairadam Forest.

The Cowdenbeath Community Police team reported on their Tweet feed on Wednesday: "This morning officers are out patrolling Blairadam Forest near Kelty.

"Numerous reports have been received recently about the use of off road bikes in this area, these vehicles are not permitted to be used in this area".

This follows quad bikes being seen on areas of the reclaimed area at the former St Ninians opencast mining site where people were concerned by several quads racing over the site.

The police team advise people that these sort of machines are not allowed on either of these sites.
