A CAR crashed into a tree on the B981 this morning following an oil spill on the road.
Police Scotland was called to the scene between Crossgates and Inverkeithing at around 9am.
Fortunately, there were no injuries as a result of the accident.
It appears there was an oil spill on the road that caused the crash and Fife Council were called out following the incident to clean up.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a car having collided with a tree on the B981 near Inverkeithing around 9am this morning.
"There were no injuries."
