COWDENBEATH'S Broad Street was closed for a several hours yesterday morning after an accident between a car and a lorry.
It meant through traffic had to find alternative routes for quite some time.
This picture taken by Steven Fiddes and which features on the Fife Jammer Locations Facebook page shows the extent of the damage sustained by the car in the accident.
The Cowdenbeath Police Team tweeted: "Officers this morning were in attendance at a Road Traffic Collision on Broad Street, Cowdenbeath.
"The road was closed in both directions between the junctions at Westburn Avenue and James Street".
The collision occurred near the bus garage and with the severely damaged car in the middle of the road the police had to shut the road to complete their enquiries before the damaged car could be removed.
