A MAJOR fundraiser has been organised in Cowdenbeath following the sudden death of a popular woman and mum of two.
Community activist, Alex Haddow, has opened a GoFundMe page for the family of Yvette Suttie, 44, and he hopes that people will get behind this Cowdenbeath family, to help with funeral costs.
Alex said: "Yvette unexpectedly passed away last week sadly leaving behind two children, Addison and Kian, and partner Marti.
"As a community I hope we can we all get together to try and ease the financial burden on the family and offer some comfort at this very difficult time".
A target of £3,000 has been set to help with funeral costs and Alex said on Tuesday, as the fund sat on the £1,000 mark, that people could make donations straight to him if they didn't want to go down the electronic route.
He said: "I know that not everyone likes to make donations electronically so if anyone would like to make a donation to this very worthy cause I can organise it for them."
Yvette's funeral will take place on Thursday June 4.
