A POLICE investigation has been launched after a man sustained injuries in a Lochore street.

Emergency services raced to Ballingry Road on Saturday afternoon with paramedics and police vehicles in attendance.

The 35-year-old was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and a police probe is underway.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.10pm on Saturday, May 23, officers were called to a report of a 35 year-old man injured on Ballingry Road, Lochore. 

"He was taken by ambulance to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

"Detectives in Dunfermline are continuing to carry enquiries into how he came about his injuries.”
