BEATH High School Performing Arts Faculty is teaming up with the Cowdenbeath school's seven Cluster Primary Schools, Cowdenbeath, Crossgates, Foulford, Hill of Beath, Kelty, Lumphinnans and St Bride's RC, to invite all Primary 7 and S1 pupils to participate in Beath's Got Virtual Talent 2020.

As the PAF's Margaret Grant explained: "It's a fantastic opportunity for pupils to showcase their amazing talents and performing skills!"

Are you a performing artist who is longing for the opportunity to perform for others? Perhaps you were planning on performing in the End of Term Showcase or in the school talent show/musical. Maybe you are missing out on competing in your local dance event or singing with your choir? Then this is for you!

Added Margaret: "Beath’s Got Virtual Talent 2020 is designed to showcase Beath and Cluster Primaries’ talented pupils.

"Pupils who would like to participate should complete a Participation and Media Waver Form.

"This can be done by contacting your Primary 7 teacher or myself or Ms Barker-Harrison at Beath High School.

"We would like pupils to create a 1-2 minute video of them performing a talent. It can be singing, dancing, acting, juggling, magic, stand-up comedy, gymnastics, and many, many others. ALL P7 AND S1 PUPILS CAN APPLY. The closing date for submissions is 3pm Friday June 5.

"Once submissions have been received, a short-list of two pupils from each primary school (14 pupils) will be selected to join pupils from Beath High school (12 pupils) in the semi-final round. This will take place June 22 where pupils will compete for one of the eight places in the final".

The eight finalists will compete on Friday June 26to become the first winner of Beath’s Got Virtual Talent! After the event, videos and photographs may be used in publications, on school website and social media that supports Beath High School and feeder primaries, providing that the media waver has been completed and consent given.
