POLICE are still seeking the people who stole chickens from Easter Cartmore Farm, in Lochgelly, on the weekend of May 2 and 3.
The perpetrators stole 18 chickens and a pile of eggs and then killed the birds and placed them in gardens in nearby houses in The Beeches, Sir James Black Gait and The Braes and smashed the eggs on walls and on some vehicles.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are still investigating the theft and killing of numerous chickens from Easter Cartmore Farm, Lochgelly.
"The deceased chickens were then left in gardens nearby.
"Enquiries are ongoing but we are following a positive line of enquiry. We are appealing for any witnesses to contact 101, quote ref 865 of 03/05."
