POLICE have issued the description of a man who carried out a sexual offence in Lochgelly on Tuesday evening.

It happened around 7.15pm on High Street when two 17-year-old girls were approached by a male driving a white coloured saloon car.

He asked them for directions whilst touching himself in a sexual manner before driving off in the direction of Hall Street.

The girls were not hurt during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s, of skinny build with ginger stubble.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey t-shirt, black jogger bottoms with a black baseball cap and glasses.

Detective Constable Ross Gribbons said: “This was a very distressing incident for the girls involved and although they were not physically harmed they were left shaken.

“We are eager to trace the man responsible as soon as possible and I would appeal to anyone who may recognise the description of the suspect or who may have seen a white car in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.”
