LOCHGELLY schoolgirl, Maci Fotheringham, has used her artistic skills to raise funds for Benarty Food Bank.

Maci, 11, was getting bored with the lockdown but took an interest in the Rainbows Of Hope that a lot of kids were painting.

Said dad James: "She decided to buy some paints and paper and started a wee production line painting rainbows, and as people saw what she was doing we got a few orders in return for donations.

"So she decided to keep going with this as long as there is a demand for her paintings and she has decided to donate any funds she raises for her local food bank which is under extra pressure at the moment".

Maci's total has gone over £1,000 and she is really grateful for all the support she has received in the community, while dad James is spearheading the Benarty Fundraisers' plan to carry out street collections for the food bank with the help of two local businesses, during the first week of May.
