LOCHGELLY High School pupil, Bailey-Lee Robb, has been named Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament of the Year.
Bailey-Lee has been very active in his role since being elected as MYSP for Cowdenbeath almost three years ago, campaigning on many issues affecting young people in the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area, the most recent being the quality of school meals served up at LHS and Beath High.
Cowdenbeath MSP Annabelle Ewing congratulated Bailey-Lee, on being named MSYP of the Year.
Ms Ewing said: “I am absolutely delighted for Bailey-Lee and I have to say that it is, without a shadow of a doubt, a very well-deserved honour indeed.
"It has been a real pleasure to me to get to know him over a number of years and see the caring and hard-working young man he has become".
She added: “During his time in the Scottish Youth Parliament, Bailey Lee has been a tireless and effective advocate for his fellow pupils and a real champion of those facing particular challenges, as shown in his work on building a rights-based approach to tackling Adverse Childhood Experiences.
“All in all, Bailey-Lee is an absolute star, a credit to his school, his community, his family – and, above all, to himself.”
