KIRKCALDY and Cowdenbeath MP, Neale Hanvey, has this week launched virtual advice surgeries for everyone living in his constituency.

This follows local politicians cancelling their normal surgeries due to the coronavirus lockdown.

But now people in the Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath constituency will be able to seek advice from Mr Hanvey by video call or, for those less tech-savvy, by phone.

The first surgeries will run 10am to 12pm on Tuesday April 21 and 2pm to 4pm on Thursday April 23.

People looking for an appointment with Mr Hanvey should call his home-working team on 07874 933302.

Commenting, Neale Hanvey said: “People need support and advice now more than ever.

My office has seen a 350 percent increase in the average number of weekly cases due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I’m determined to do everything I can to support people in my constituency and that includes running advice surgeries.

“And with the help of modern technology, I can offer the face-to-face appointments that are so important to people.

“If I can be of assistance with any issues – related to coronavirus or otherwise – then I urge people to please get in touch with my office. We’ll get through these times together.”
