THE highly successful Lo'gelly Lunches project had to go on hold due to the coronavirus crisis, but it is to re-emerge as a takeaway service this Friday.
Such has been the success of Lo'gelly Lunches, which started at the Salvation Army Hall, in Auchterderran Road last year, the volunteers had to move to the Town Hall to house everyone who wanted to go along on a Friday to get a bite of lunch and a blether.
However, due to the coronavirus situation it had to cease in late March but the takeaway service will start this Friday.
Said Cowdenbeath Area Community Manager, Sarah Roxburgh: "We are to be re-starting Lo'gelly Lunches on Fridays, running from 11am to 1pm. "This will be a takeaway service and there will also be a Community Fridge available on the day". Packed lunches will be available for users to collect from 11am to 1pm.
