AS the Benarty Emergency Response Team volunteers work hard to ensure vulnerable people in the four villages are being kept supplied with necessary shopping and medication during the coronavirus emergency, the support they are getting from Lochore Co-op was highlighted yesterday.
A member of the BERT team, Derek Davidson, posted on the Benarty Matters Facebook page: "Wanted to say a big thanks to the young girl from our local Co-op for taking the huge grocery list of three shopping trolleys and preparing it for Benarty Emergency Response Team (BERT) for delivery.
"We deliver all over our local area to people that are self isolated or high risk to ensure no one does without. I don’t know the girl's name but we thank you for your help today."
BERT's team of call handlers and drivers are helping ease the problems the coronavirus situation is causing for vulnerable groups.
