A PLAN to change the use of a retail unit on Crossgates Main Street into a cafe has been given the green light by Fife Council.
Mr Alan Campbell had asked for permission to change the use of a retail unit at 4 Main Street, to create a cafe with external alterations including the formation of a door.
The council planners agreed to the proposal to change the use of the former Target Shooting Supplies shop, with some conditions attached.
These include that the the premises shall only be used as a coffee shop, for the preparation and sale of coffee, teas, soft drinks, paninis, toasties, sandwiches, soup, rolls, and bakery products and similar goods, where their preparation does not give rise to unacceptable cooking levels.
