THE Lochgelly based Saje Team has spent several days deliberating over how to continue supporting women in Fife, while offices everywhere are closed due to the coronavirus situation.

And with no definitive lockdown end date in sight, they have had to get a little creative!

And the they have decided to take their Freedom Programme online via the video conferencing app Zoom.

The Freedom Programme is for any woman interested in learning more about the effects of domestic abuse and, in particular for women who experience/have experienced domestic abuse.

Said a member of the team based at the Ore Valley Business Centre in Main Street, Lochgelly: "Our facilitators are working hard from home to create more condensed weekly online groups, so participants won't have to spend too much time in front of a computer screen.

"We don't have an exact start date for online sessions, but it will be shortly after the Easter holiday.

"For those who are able, pass on this information to service users you feel would benefit from the above. We'll be getting in contact with existing Freedom participants who didn't get the chance to complete the Programme in March.

"Additionally, all of the relevant information will be shared through our social media outlets".

Added the team member: "We're also still available during working hours for support via mobile and email.

"Please, keep an eye out for another email in the next week or two regarding concrete start dates, times and how to access the live online group etc."
