THERE'S a lot of bad news around at the moment and it's our duty to report it.

But the lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic has given us some brilliant examples of the enormous community spirit we have in West Fife - ordinary people doing extraordinary things in our towns, villages and streets to help us all get through.

So, yes, tomorrow's Press has the latest on the disruption to everyday life that we had previously taken for granted. The closures, cancellations and dire warnings. The downright miserable. You need to know from us what is happening.

But we've also got the fun and the heroes - the kids who've written letters to posties and care homes thanking them for what they're doing.

The volunteers who answered one reader's desperate cry for help to make sure she could eat.

The dancing dad in his tutu. The oversized Paw Patrol and Peppa Pigs bringing smiles to villages. And Spiderman Dave on his daily rounds in Duloch. They're all in there.

And there's a free eight-page Puzzles section too.

So I'm going to ask for your help.

In order for us to continue to provide trusted local news on this free-to-read site, I am asking you to also please purchase a copy of our newspaper tomorrow and every Thursday.

Trusted news has never been so important, and neither has your support.

With the coronavirus lockdown having a major impact on many of our local valued advertisers - and consequently the advertising that we receive - we are more reliant than ever on you to help us provide you with trusted news and information by buying a copy of our newspaper.

We’re out each week even if you can’t be. So you can also have a replica e-edition of the Press on your PC, phone or tablet ready to read whenever you want. Just click the ‘E-Edition’ tab under the Press masthead on the homepage of this website.

Thank you. Stay safe, stay healthy and look after yourselves and your families and let's look out for one another.
