PLANS are afoot to convert an empty shop in Cowdenbeath into a podiatrist business.
A planning application has been submitted to Fife Council requesting permission for a change of use of 335 High Street.
If given the go ahead, opening times being proposed are 9am until 6pm Monday to Saturday and, if permissible, the same on a Sunday.
A planning statement said: "Podiatrists are a common occurrence in shopping areas of other towns and cities.
"This would allow the Podiatrist to expand their business and provide a service to Cowdenbeath, which is not currently available in the area, as well as occupying one of various vacant properties on the High Street."
