THIS week's Down Memory Lane pictures come from Mrs Chrissie Johnstone, and Lochgelly businessman Alan Graham.
Mrs Johnstone came across the top photograph, which she thinks dates from the late 1950s, and is of Lochore and District Pipe Band after one of their successes.
Chrissie has a family connection as her mother's brother was George Walkingshaw, who was part of this highly successful band. The band line-up back left to right, Shug McPherson, Eck Cleland, Jackie ?, R Henderson, Pete Murdoch, Geo Yardley (pipe sergeant), Dunc Beveridge and George Walkingshaw. Front row, Jimmy McPherson, Jimmy Marr (drum major), Eck Smart (pipe major), Jim Yardley and Stoker Brockie.
Mr Graham's pictures are from a Lochgelly gala from days gone by. The year is 1984.
