ONE of the area's boys football clubs is going to be making donations to The Black Watch Association from their sale of club shirts.

The Fife Sons of Struth Football Academy has a base in Lochgelly and is all about running teams at various age groups and giving youngsters a chance to develop their skills.

Blair Moffate explained how the connection has come with the BWA.

He said: "My youth football team is raising money and donating money to the "Black Watch Association".

"We presented the cheque to Major Munro at Balhousie castle, along with a strip.

"The strip costs £24:99, and it costs us £14:99 to produce the strip meaning a full £10 goes to the Black Watch Association from every strip sold. "Our first cheque wasfor the amount of £250, and hope to continue donating more through our sale of this shirt.

"Anyone who would like to support this and purchase a strip can do so through our Facebook page "Fife Sons of Struth Football Academy" or by emailing us at fifesosfa@gmail.com."

Added Blair: "Major Munro gave us a tour of the castle and we were fortunate to meet some soldiers currently serving who accompanied us on the tour".
