A SHOW with a difference will be at the Lochgelly Centre next Saturday.

'Soulachord' presents 'Nine Voices' which will showcase young local talent as part of venture by Cowdenbeath singer Elaine Green.

Elaine has been coaching young artistes now for a couple of years now and the cast of next Saturday's show have all had the benefits of Elaine's advice.

The pictures are of some of those who will be taking part in the show were taken by a local college student currently studying at Fife College, Shannon Connolly.

They include, Farrah Keenan,11; Courtney Stewart,15; Erin Fudge,16; Gregor Scott, 9; Sian Adamson,15; Shawnie Leslie,14; Dayna Fleming, 15; Noah Brotherton, 9; Stacey Gunn; Shannon Green, 22; Niamh Clark,13; and Elaine Green.

Said Elaine: "The show is really all about young local talent having the opportunity to let people see and hear what they can do.

"I have been teaching young singers and musicians for a couple of years now and it has been so pleasing to see how their confidence has developed.

"We have some special guests making up the cast and these include an excellent young violinist from Kinross, Niamh Clark, and we will also have Louise McLauchlan's, The Dance Academy, along with Stacey Gunn's dancers from the Zodiac Dance School, as well as my daughter Shannon.

"The artistes are mainly in the age range between nine and 16 and this will be another stage in their development as entertainers."

Elaine said that she started Soulachord to provide the opportunity for young artistes to really gain in confidence and she has been pleased with the ways they have all improved their skills.

The singer who has been very popular on local stages, and those all over Fife and East Central Scotland for many years said she felt it was time to put something back into the entertainment business: "I have found it really rewarding to be able to spend time helping these young people develop their talent and this show will give them the chance to show how really good they are."
