THE erratic driving of a teenage motorcyclist on the A92 caused other road users to brake.

Dillon Walkingshaw was in the overtaking lane of the dual carriageway but was travelling at just 35mph.

Drivers in the outside had to brake sharply and undertake him.

Walkingshaw, 19, of Greenloanings, Kirkcaldy, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on Boxing Day 2018, on the A92 near Lochgelly, he drove a motorcycle without due care and attention and travelled in the outside lane at speeds of 35 to 40mph in a 70mph limit whilst not overtaking, causing other vehicles to brake sharply and undertake him.

Sheriff James MacDonald fined Walkingshaw £360 and endorsed his driving licence with six penalty points.
