LOCHGELLY'S parking problems could soon be tackled.
The town's community council heard that parking in Main Street was a continuing problem.
Residents of the street struggled to find parking spaces, which it was felt was hindered by the businesses in the street. It was pointed out that there is the dentists and the shops during the day and the take-aways at night. It was felt there needs to be a solution that doesn’t cause any harm to the businesses, but also allows residents to park near their homes.
Parking in Fraser Drive was also raised, with concerns over how emergency services would access further up the street as it is often obstructed.
Councillor Rosemary Liewald suggested going on a walk around the area with the Transportation Officers to see the extent of the problems and try to come up with a solution.
