PREPARATIONS for a key stage of the JENNIE LEE: TOMORROW IS A NEW DAY, a play based on the life of this famous Lochgelly woman and founder of The Open University, are moving ahead apace.

Artistic director, Matthew Knights, is putting the event at Lochgelly Centre together and said this week: "We are looking forward to a rehearsed reading on Thursday March 5, at 7.30 pm at the Centre supported by Fife Council, ONFife and The Open University in Scotland.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the project so far. Following our successful work-in-progress reading at Outwith Festival, in Dunfermline, in September 2019, we continue to build the play.

"In October 2019 we were excited to participate in the launch of the Jennie Lee Archive Exhibition, at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow, organised by The Open University in Scotland, which has been running at Lochgelly Centre to coincide with our reading on March5!

"We have just finished a couple of productive days working on the play in Lochgelly and it would be great to see as many people as possible at the reading to show you what we have been up to!"

Tickets are available from www.onfife.com, by phone 01592 583303 or in person at ONFife venues.
