MOTORISTS from the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area heading towards Edinburgh this morning will find more disruption due to the Queensferry Crossing remaining closed.
The problems with ice falling from the wires on Monday has seen the bridge authorities keep the Crossing closed meantime, and while it may re-open later today the problems of snarl ups through traffic using the Kincardine Bridge will pose major issues this morning.
One motorist told our reporter: "I left at 6pm this morning to get from Larbert to Fife after having taken two hours for the same trip yesterday but while it only took me just under an hour this time the volume of traffic was already starting to build.
"Clearly it is going to be another real test of patience for people heading to Edinburgh via roads leading to Kincardine."
The Transport Minister, Michael Matheson, said on Tuesday that safety was paramount with the bridge issue and it was hoped that the bridge will be back open over the next two days.
