THE four people arrested and charged in relation to people trafficking after raids in communities, including Cowdenbeath, have been released by police pending further enquiries.

The raids following information being gathered by police units, took place in Cowdenbeath, Inverkeithing, Alloa and Glasgow and the three men and woman were arrested earlier this week.

They had been due to appear in Court on Wednesday but the Crown Office revealed yesterday that they had been released as inquiries continue.

The four were arrested after Operation Risbalit swooped into action and saw six premises raided as part of the move.

The operation saw various parts of the police service come together to gather evidence.
