MOTORISTS faced early morning delays on Monday morning after a nine vehicle pile up on the A92.

Emergency services raced to the scene just after 7.30am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said. "We were called to the A92 eastbound between Lochgelly and Cardenden around 7.35am on Monday, 3 February, following a crash involving nine vehicles.

"The ambulance service attended as a precaution and there were no injuries.

"Lane two was obstructed for a short time as a result."
