THE problems of anti-social behaviour in the area around the skatepark facility in Cowdenbeath is going to see extra patrols in the area around the Leisure Centre.

There have been several complaints of youngsters causing some problems in and around the area to the north of Central Park and also in the car park areas of the football ground and the leisure centre.

Cowdenbeath Community Inspector Gavin Cameron said that it was something that will be dealt with.

He said: "We had a couple of calls last week about youths hanging around at the leisure centre, coming in and out to use the toilet and generally causing a nuisance.

"Louise Wallace attended and is in the process of identifying those involved so she can speak to them and their parents and nip it in the bud.

"We will continue to give the area attention".
