AS the CR Smith Hand Picked for Schools (HPfS) Programme continues to roll out across Fife and Kinross, Glenrothes High School is hosting a networking Business Breakfast (8 – 9 am, on Friday January 31 for local employers to find out how they can become involved.

The school is the latest to join the successful new programme, following its launch last October. Backed by Developing the Young Workforce in Fife, nearly 800 senior phase pupils have now each received employability coaching from local business owners through HPfS.

The business breakfast is an opportunity for local employers to find out more about how they can participate in HPfS and support Glenrothes High School pupils at S5 level to succeed in the jobs market.

The programme provides a range of teaching tools and lesson on topics including CV writing, cover letters and interviews. As the content is all provided by HPfS, the only ask is for local businesses to donate some of their time to run workshops at the school.

Pauline McGeevor, who runs Hand Picked from CR Smith said: "We are delighted to welcome Glenrothes High to the Hand Picked for Schools programme.”

For the past year, Hand Picked has been operating an employability hub within Lochgelly High School.
