THE A 909 linking Cowdenbeath and Burntisland was closed for some time last night after a serious accident.
The incident happened at the fly over above the A92 heading into Cowdenbeath from Burntisland, blocking all traffic for a period.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident and it led to traffic being unable to go into the town or get onto the road heading south out of Cowdenbeath.
The accident saw the road closed for over an hour after the accident which occurred at the back of 6pm and it was reported that four people sustained injuries.
The stretch has seen several accidents recently and one post on the Fife Jammer Locations Facebook page observed: "That's the third one since November at the same bit of road".
