YOUTH support charity Includem has donated £1,000 from its own reserves to accelerate Kingdom Off-Road Motorcycle Club’s fundraising appeal to replace their burnt-out storage sheds.

The Club was targeted by fire raisers back in November leaving the club without a base to store equipment.

Two huts and items houses in them, including tools, tables and chairs plus a portable toilet, were destroyed in the blaze at their off road course on the road to Portmoak, near Ballingry.

The group helps reduce illegal and anti-social use of off-road motorcycles by providing a circuit where young people can ride their vehicles safely, and works with young people from disadvantaged areas.

Includem recently teamed up with the Club to coach seven young people experiencing issues with day-to-day living on a six-week programme of training and practical activities in off-road motorbiking.

Said Includem’s Fife Team Leader, Kathleen Malcolm: "We were really sorry to hear of the club’s misfortune.

"We know what great work they do to support our young people and others in the area. We hope this modest contribution can help them on their way to raising the money they need to get fully up and running again."

Includem provides intensive, tailored support to young people and families in challenging circumstances, including where there is harmful behaviour such as alcohol and drug misuse, or offending, to help them build better lives.

Club organiser, Davie Paton said that the donation was a massive boost to KORMC: "We really appreciate this donation from Includem.

"Since the incident everyone in the area has been really supportive. Such a generous gesture will go a long way to help us reach our target and get the club back on a firm footing again."
