KINGLASSIE councillor, Julie Ford, is urging parents and carers to use free breakfast cafes, now available at many schools across the region.
These cafés have been designed to provide breakfast, universally, to all pupils between 8.15am and 8.45am.
Caskieberran Primary School and Glenrothes High School are just two of the schools in the Glenrothes area offering this service.
Commenting, Councillor Ford, the Glenrothes West and Kinglassie councillor said: "Not only are we all aware of the importance of eating breakfast and how it improves the body's performance, we're aware of the effects that going to school hungry can have on a child's behaviour and learning.
"This is a fantastic service being offered to all parents and pupils, and one that I'd definitely recommend everyone taking up."
