A COWDENBEATH man has been told by a Sheriff that he has 'an appalling record for crimes of dishonesty.'
Kenneth McKean, who stole nearly a £100 worth of cosmetics from Boots, as been placed on a tag.
McKean, 43, of Dalbeath Crescent, previously admitted that on October 26 at Boots, High Street, Cowdenbeath, he stole a quantity of cosmetics.
Dunfermline Sheriff Court heard on Wednesday that the value of the stolen products was £97.96 and there was no recovery.
Sheriff Charles Macnair said: "You have an appalling record for crimes of dishonesty.
"Being on a drugs testing order is not a licence to offend."
McKean was placed on a restriction of liberty order, where he will have to remain at his home address between the hours of 7pm-7am, for six months.
