POLICE have been able to locate one of the two people who were involved in the M90 road accident near Kelty late on Sunday who was seen to be walking away from the scene.

A Renault Scenic had been involved in a collision with the central reservation of the motorway and then a Seat car was involved in an accident with the Scenic.

Police Scotland's Fife Division Facebook page stated: "Following enquiries made after the fatal crash involving a Renault Grand Scenic on the M90 near Kelty about 11.05pm on Sunday, January 5, police have traced one of the missing occupants of the car safe and well.

"He is now assisting officers with their enquiries into the circumstances of the crash".

The post added: "One other person, who is thought to have been in the car at the time, has still to be traced. Enquiries continue to formally identify the man who died.

"We would still be interested to hear from anyone who was driving on the M90 in that area around that time, and in particular from anyone with dashcam footage, to establish the full circumstances.

"Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3379 of 5 January."
