THIS week's Down Memory Lane pictures come from the books of Cowdenbeath woman Mrs Mary Burt.

These are from the Bygone days of Benarty, produced by Benarty Millennium Group; and Old Lochgelly, published by Rhona Wilson.

The top picture on show is one taken in August 1990 as the congregation of the Gospel Church, in Ballingry, comes out after a service.

The middle top picture is of a tense game at Lochore Bowling Club in the 1950s and we can name three of the four bowlers, John Drummond, Sam Douglas and Andrew Wallace.

The left hand picture is of the Minto Cottages, which were down Auchterderran Road and near the Brigghills Colliery, also known as the Minto, which can be seen on the right of the shot. It was taken in late 40s, early 50s.

The bottom right photo is of the Jenny Gray Colliery in Lochgelly, which was taken in the late 1950s and was situated just outside the town's public park park. The Jenny Gray closed in 1959.
