DEVELOPERS have hopes of making a significant housing estate on the other side of The Avenue, in Lochgelly.
The north side has over 100 houses taking shape through the Easy Living Homes site, but now Nottinghamshire company, Omnivale Ltd, hope to develop the south side, which runs down towards the A92.
They have lodged an EIA Screening Request with Fife Council for Land To The South Of The Avenue.
This would determine if there will be a need for an environmental assessment before any full submission is made for the proposed 142 home site.
The Avenue will also cater for traffic from the new estate, if it was to go ahead, along with that from the Easy Living estate and it is becoming a significantly busy road.
