The Corrie Centre Members Groups’ Christmas Party was held at the Corrie when they were joined by local councillors Linda Erskine, Rosemary Liewald and Lea McLelland.
Members were treated to an excellent three course meal served by Honor Anderson and her staff which was enjoyed by everyone.
After the meal Councillors Erskine and McLelland conducted the free raffle draw with the following winners, Sheila Beale, Cath Wilson, Denise Robertson, Fiona Paton, Tom Slavin, Caroline Slavin, Jean Doig, John Parish, Mary Fernie, Dorothy Shepherd, Betty Nicolson, Alva Nesbit, Mary Eileen Reid, Anna Eadie, Sheena McCall and Jessie Balfour. Then everyone enjoyed first class entertainment provided by popular male vocalist Jim Foster who was well received.
The party ended with everyone joining in with Jim with Auld Lang Syne.
The compere and chairperson of the Corrie Centre Management Committee, Alex Burns MBE, thanked everyone for attending and centre groups and individuals who forwarded raffle prizes. He also thanked the councillors for their attendance and all who helped on the day. And last bit not least Honor Anderson and her staff for the splendid meal.
