A 60-YEAR-OLD man who has just completed a restriction of liberty order is back on another ‘tag’ after attempting to steal from a car in Lochgelly.
James Dow was seen trying the door of a car in Mains Street by a police officer.
As a result, Dow, of Meadow Place, Dunfermline, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on July 13, at Main Street, Lochgelly, he forced the door of a vehicle with intent to steal.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said his client “doesn’t have any recollection of doing it but he was seen by a police officer trying a car door”.
The court was told that frequent offender Dow had just completed a restriction of liberty order.
Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a new ‘tag’ for six months.
