The Lumphinnans tree was lit.
CHRISTMAS arrived in Lumphinnans on Friday night when the village tree was switched on.
The Lumphinnans Community Council organised the switch-on and were delighted to see the number of villagers who turned out for the occasion.
Local councillors Alex Campbell and Darren Watt were among those who were at the Main Street site of the Christmas tree and both were very praiseworthy of the event.
It followed the Christmas Treat organised for senior citizens by the community council which saw over 50 veterans enjoy a night at Lumphinnans Bowling Club.
