THE backing of Cowdenbeath FC, through the SPFL Festive Friends initiative, saw 40+ senior citizens having an early Christmas treat on Thursday.
Linking up with the Blue Brazil, Cowdenbeath Rotary Club organised a Festive Friends evening at their Wee Jimmies base.
It saw the veterans enjoy a festive menu and then entertainment from popular singer, Linton Osborne, before Santa arrived and distributed a host of gifts including boxes of Festive Friends biscuits supplied by the SPFL.
Said Rotary Club president, Yolanda Hilton: "We were delighted to be able to join with the football club for this Festive Friends evening with support from the SPFL.
"There were boxes of Festive Friends biscuits for each of our guests which was a lovely gesture and it was a great evening."
